About Our Client
My client are a global big data business who have been growing rapidly year on year. They have offices across the UK and currently looking to expand one of their division with the addition of a Business Development Manager based around the Manchester region. The role is home based with national travel involved.
As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for the following:
Ensure the UK/International revenue and profit margin targets are achieved through a direct value-based sales approach of selling services.
Provision of accurate and timely management reporting of sales forecasts, pipeline, platform and performance for the service proportion.
Understand the specific sectors who could benefit from the solution as a standalone product and help grow this new and exciting solution which intern will help grow the overall proportion within the team.
Selling to new logo businesses but also establishing warm leads through collaboration internally and “Cross Sell” opportunities where other areas could already be within these sectors.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Business Development Manager will be required to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
Degree qualification (ideally 2.2 or above), or similar experience
Good ‘A’ Level grades or equivalent
Proven commercial experience in a customer service/sales/account management role
Demonstrate strong customer focus
Good time management skills: ability to multitask and prioritise workload
Strong administration skills and PC literate
Demonstrate strong communication skills, both oral and written
Must have initiative and demonstrate a pro-active approach to tasks
Excellent problem solving abilities
Ability to liaise with staff at all levels
Articulate, well presented, positive and professional at all times
Proven experience in a field based role
Desire to succeed in a new business target driven environment
